Burniston – 00 gauge

A small layout based on the station on the Scarborough to Whitby line.

St Cyrus - 00 gauge

This is a digitally operated layout and was inspired by the track plan in Ian Futers book Modelling Scottish Railways.

St Cyrus is a real town on the NE coast of Scotland. It lost its rail services in the 1950’s. The model assumes the branch remained open until the present day

Layouts on view include

Midland High Peak - N gauge.

This is a layout under construction and has been inspired by the Derbyshire Dales. Based on Monsaldale the layout reflects the limestone features of the area. The station plan is similar to Millersdale. A high level branch line has been added for operational interest and on the left hand side there is a quarry and a locomotive depot.

Roxby Town - N gauge

The layout is of freelance design, with a track plan designed to provide train movements which are entertaining. The layout is operated in the Privatisation Era (1995 to the present day). It shows Roxby as a station with five platforms with local and cross country services. The lower area caters for the stabling, servicing and refuelling of the locomotives. Adjacent to the station is the wagon repair yard.

Roxby Town was featured in the June 2012 issue of Railway Modeller.

Yorfe Halt – N gauge

A firm favourite at Bridlington model railway shows this layout has been around for over twenty years. It shows a landscape based on parts of the West Riding of Yorkshire. The locomotives and rolling stock show are from the modern era and run continuously around the layout.

Levisham – N gauge

This is a model of the station on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.

Duncan’s Mine H0 gauge

The layout represents a small mine in Chippewa County USA. It shows the transport of ore from the mine to the outside world. Incoming traffic is in the form of supplies, mining equipment and fuel.

Willersley N – gauge

A modern market town in the South Yorkshire area set in the period 1998- 2008.Trains pass through the town on their way from Leeds to Derby and beyond. There is a preserved line running alongside and there are occasional steam specials on the main line.

Larpool & Easington – TTn3

A small layout built for a bit of fun a long time ago but has now been refurbished.

Zweinuck an der Donau – H0 gauge

This layout shows a busy freight yard on the River Danube in Upper Austria. The trackplan is basically two sets of “inglenook” sidings set back to back in a “Z” formation. The layout appeared in the March 2011 edition of Continental Modeller.

Spatenbrau Bruke – N gauge

A German based layout
